Speaking at the [Connectivity Engagement Forum], Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria (IXPN) CEO, Muhammed Rudman, emphasized the organization’s success in keeping half of Internet traffic within Nigeria for connected ISPs. He highlighted the economic benefits of this, including reduced capital flight. Additionally, Rudman discussed the potential for establishing regional IXPs across Nigeria to further localize traffic and boost efficiency.
