Internet penetration in the Philippines is around 50% and there exists some curtailment of online freedoms according to Freedom House who assign an Internet Freedom Status of Partially Free to the country. Our Internet Resilience score is close to the regional average. Although transit provider diversity is poor, retail Internet service provision and the IXP marketplace are very diverse. IPv6 adoption is around the regional average. The Top Level Domain, .ph, is not secured and other measures of naming and routing security adoption are low or close to the regional averages.
