Country Report
Cabo Verde
Like many small island nations, Cabo Verde’s Internet users face several challenges, such as low fibre connectivity and performance, and very poor Retail ISP Diversity and poor Transit Provider Diversity (both of which impact affordability). Its IXP is in its early phase and has yet to connect any of its 11 active networks. Devoting more resources to IXP development and encouraging all local networks to connect to it will significantly increase Internet redundancy and resilience in the case that any of its submarine cables are cut.
