Rajasthan authorities have ordered the suspension of mobile and broadband Internet services in Chomu town near Jaipur amid local unrest.
Local impact
According to reports, Divisional Commissioner Poonam issued orders for Internet services to be suspended for 24 hours to prevent the spread of rumours and worsening of the situation. The order was enforced in accordance with the Commissioner of Police's letter.
The orders were later extended until 28 December 7:00.
