Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh district administration has ordered the suspension of mobile Internet services across the district headquarters for 25 hours, starting from Tuesday, 16 December at 11:00 local time as a precaution before a farmers' protest scheduled for 17 December at the grain market in the district headquarters.
Local impact
Officials were reported to have said the suspension of Internet services across the district is primarily aimed at preventing the spread of rumours.
In addition, Section 163 has been implemented to maintain law and order, and a ban has been placed on unauthorised gatherings and processions.
