Local impact

Broadband services such as leased line (ILL) and fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) were restored in a regulated and phased manner.

According to reports, the government extended the suspension for two more days on Friday, 10 April, Sunday, 12 April, Tuesday, 14 April, and Thursday, 16 April, citing apprehension over the spread of disinformation and false rumors through social media and bulk SMS messages to mobilize mobs.
