The orders were issued to maintain 'public order' following reports of conflict in the region. These orders follow a five-day mobile Internet shutdown order in the District from 13 to 17 April. Kishtwah is the largest and least populous district of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, a territory that has a long history of Internet shutdowns.
