A coalition of Internet measurement groups (The Internet Society, IIJ, IODA, and M-Lab) invites you to join the Open Measurement Hackathon in Madrid on 3 November 2024 from 12:00 to 18:00, the day before the beginning of the Internet Measurement Conference (4-6 November).

We seek participants interested in exploring, analyzing, and visualizing network measurement open data from different sources to extract meaningful information about network disruption events. We encourage those attending IMC to register and are open to experts from other disciplines interested in learning more about open measurement data.

Acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis. The capacity is limited to 30 participants. Materials to familiarize participants with each dataset will be sent beforehand.

Skills:

  • Required: Experience with SQL/Google BigQuery, Python, Pandas, R and/or Golang
  • Nice to have: Experience with anomaly detection, data visualization, and/or network interference analysis
  • No experience with our datasets is required
