Iraq is still experiencing its longest stretch without an Internet Shutdown. It is becoming customary to shutdown access to the Internet in the hours prior to school exams. This time with the start of high school exams. As we have repeatedly written about here on Pulse, Internet shutdowns cause great harm to a country’s economy and society and are in our opinion NOT the appropriate mechanism to cope with potential exam cheating.

L'Irak connaît toujours sa plus longue période sans coupure d'Internet. Il devient habituel de couper l'accès à l'internet dans les heures qui précèdent les examens scolaires. Cette fois-ci, c'est le début des examens de fin d'études secondaires. Comme nous l'avons écrit à plusieurs reprises sur Pulse, les fermetures d'Internet causent de graves dommages à l'économie et à la société d'un pays et ne sont, à notre avis, PAS le mécanisme approprié pour faire face à la tricherie potentielle lors des examens.

12th grade #exams have started in #Iraq, which means another ~5 hour #Internet #shutdown has occurred in Iraq. 12th grade exams are set for June 21, 22 ,24, 25, 26, 27; July 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15.
