Internet users in Sudan experienced Internet shutdown in conjunction with end of year public exams. The shutdown was near full on SudaTel, MTN, and Zain networks, together serving 97% of Interent users in Sudan.The original exam schedule runs between 29 June and 10 July, with exams scheduled every day except on Fridays, however, shutdowns were evident from 7 July.

The Syrian government, and in a joint statement between the Ministry of Technology and Communication and the Ministry of Education, announced that they will cut off mobile telecommunications for the shortest time and geographical locations possible around exam time and locations. The statement mentioned that the government studied alternative measures, but none could be implemented in time for the exams, and that landline telephony and Internet are exempt from the shutdown, and users will compensated for the times of disruption.However, measurements are showing considerable fall in national Internet traffic during the times stated in the shutdown tables below, between 8:15 and 9:30 local time (+3 UTC) on 9 July 2025.

The Kurdistan Regional Government in Iraq ordered Internet services to be suspended on the morning of 6 July 2025 between 6:30 and 7:45 local time (+3 UTC). This regional shutdown coincided with larger national shutdown covering all of Iraq, both are part of series of shutdowns during the public school exams, which is expected to happen every Sunday and Wednesday. The original schedule was set to end on 29 June, however, there were no exams in the week of 15 June as the government paused exams due to Israel-Iran war.
