A militant was killed by security forces on Friday in an encounter which ensued during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the central Kashmir district of Badgam on Friday, official sources said. A real-time network measurement by Netblocks showed that the country had been disconnected with widespread mobile and fixed-line Internet disruptions amidst the election controversy.
