Internet connectivity was interrupted for 12 hours on 6 November.

Sources from the state-owned Public Telecommunications Corporation, which controls the country’s main Internet service provider, TeleYemen, said the disruption was due to a fiber-optic cable cut near Al Mahrah in southern Yemen. The Internet was inaccessible in the governorates of Hadramout, Shabwa Al-Jawf, and Marib, while other regions experienced a slowdown in connectivity speeds.
