National shutdown
The Syrian government, and in a joint statement between the Ministry of Technology and Communication and the Ministry of Education, announced that they will cut off mobile telecommunications for the shortest time and geographical locations possible around exam time and locations. The statement mentioned that the government studied alternative measures, but none could be implemented in time for the exams, and that landline telephony and Internet are exempt from the shutdown, and users will compensated for the times of disruption.
However, measurements are showing considerable fall in national Internet traffic during the times stated in the shutdown tables below, between 8:15 and 9:00 local time (+3 UTC) on 21 June 2025.
