There are reports that Facebook and its messaging app have been restricted in Bangladesh since Friday, 26 March 2021. Reports suggest that the services are being blocked during the two-day visit of India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day visit to the country, which has led to protests.
The blocks were lifted after three days, on Monday, 29 March 2021.

OONI's Web Connectivity Test shows anomalies for connecting to Facebook from 26 to 29 March and Facebook Messenger on 26 and 27 March.
In some ISPs, such as Circle Networks (AS134371), users encountered a page with the message "This webpage has been blocked" when trying to reach Facebook, as it can be seen on some OONI measurements.
Of note, WhatsApp, which is owned by Facebook's parent company, Meta, was not affected.
