[UK] Vodafone will be the first provider to switch off its 3G network next month. It says that doing so will free up radio frequencies for faster 4G and 5G services.
EE and Three have also announced plans to withdraw their 3G network over the next two years. But 30m Britons still use 3G regularly and one in ten say it is all they can access.
