Los bombardeos sobre Gaza afectaron el 12 de mayo a los proveedores de servicios de Internet, entre ellos CoolNet y Fusion ISP, así como al centro de datos y a la red de SMT; no obstante, las redes distribuyeron la carga entre otros proveedores de servicios de Internet para mantener a los usuarios conectados. El 15 de mayo, nuevos bombardeos provocaron que dos proveedores de Internet más pequeños quedaran totalmente fuera de servicio: CityNet y PALWIFI. El servicio de PALWIFI se reanudó el 18 de mayo, pero la interrupción seguía afectando a CityNet. Los servicios comenzaron a volver a la normalidad y, a fecha de 25 de mayo, se había recuperado más del 80 % del nivel del mes anterior.
