Sudan has experienced multiple Internet interruptions as fighting between the army and paramilitary forces intensified in Khartoom and beyond. According to Reuters, Sudanese provider MTN was ordered to shutdown the Internet on 16 April but connectivity was restored shortly after. After several days of disruptions, the country was completely disconnected from the global Internet by 23 April 2023. Because much of Chad's upstream connectivity is provided by Sudatel through SudaChad, Chad is also experiencing Internet disruption as a knock on effect.

KanarTel (AS33788) sufrió interrupciones parciales a partir del 19 de abril, seguidas de una desconexión casi total a partir del 21 de abril. Sudatel y MaxNet sufrieron interrupciones totales a las 00:00 del 23 de abril. SDN-MOBITEL se enfrentó a interrupciones a partir de las 00:00 del 24 de abril. A continuación puede ver las interrupciones tal y como aparecieron en las mediciones recogidas por IODA, Google Transparency Report y Cloudflare Radar. A las 16:00 del 24 de abril, Sudatel y SDN-MOBITEL volvieron a estar en línea. Estas dos redes dan servicio a más del 75% del mercado.
